Noé Montes

The Power of U collaborates with LA based award winning photographer, Noé Montes, for many of our profiles. The themes of his work are race and power. He has been making images for 20 years with a strong focus on community and social justice issues.

Noé has extensive experience working with Educational, Cultural and Civic Institutions and Non-Profit Organizations. His list of commissions includes work for The Annenberg Foundation, The California Community Foundation, The University of Southern California, The Los Angeles Police Foundation, L.A. Metro and The Getty Foundation. He has exhibited work throughout the U.S. In 2015 he was a recipient of the Alicia Patterson Foundation Fellowship for his project about farm workers in the Eastern Coachella Valley, a documentary project that focuses on individuals in the community who are working to improve people’s lives.
